Waiving of fees

Under the law, the Curateur public has discretion regarding the charging of fees. It has drafted a directive according to which fees will not be charged if the three following conditions are met:

  • The person’s monthly income does not exceed the amount of the maximum old age pension benefit This link will open in a new window. plus the guaranteed income supplement for a single person;
  • The person has cash holdings of not more than $2,500;
  • AND the value of the person’s net assets does not exceed $130,000.
